Security meet held to preserve peace, normalcy in Pallel

Kakching, July 14 2024:
A joint security meeting between the local public and security personnel was held presided by Kakching Assembly Constituency MLA M Rameshwar to maintain peace and prevent the occurrence of any unfortunate incidents in Pallel area.
The security meeting was held at Pallel Maning Leikai Community Hall yesterday with the attendance of Th Vikramjit, SP Kakching: Rahul Gupta, SP Tengnoupal; Kakching police station OC, Pallel police station OC and Kakching Commando OC as well as representatives of local Meitei clubs and meira paibi leaders from Pallel.
On behalf of the public, the local representatives stated that since the death of two persons arid injury to several others due to violence on September 8, 2023, other similar incidents have not occurred in Pallel.
However, the public lives fear and anxiety that the relative peace may be shattered by violence at any time.
In addition, they called for adequate security to allow resumption of agricultural activities in their lands.
After listening to their grievances, the Kakching SP and Tengnoupal SP assured to take steps to provide the necessary security cover to the people of Pallel and prevent any violence from breaking out in the area.
Meanwhile Kakching MLA M Rameshwar assured to provide help to the people of Pallel who are facing insurmountable hardships due to the ongoing conflict and help them return to their normal lives.
