Imphal, May 12 2024: Like in other parts of the globe, Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) Centre Church celebrated Mother's Day at Chingmeirong, today.

On the occasion, Tangkhul daily newspaper "The Aja Daily" chief editor & proprietor Horam Valleyrose Hungyo was honoured with the Mother of the Year 2024 Award.

Horam Valleyrose Hungyo is the wife of late Ngathingkhui Hungyo, founder of "The Aja Daily" .

The award consisted of a crown, a citation and a shawl.

The gathering led by Angom Moses Singh, Pastor of Langdeibung Baptist Church sang hymns and sought blessings from Lord Jesus.

Presentation of songs and dances by children was the other highlight of the event.

Meanwhile, in connection with the celebration of Mothers Day, students and teaching staff of Srivan Higher Secondary School led by Principal I Usharani planted about 200 tree saplings at the school campus in Luwangsangbam, Imphal.
