CoA students secure scholarships for MSc programme in European Universities

Three students of the College of Agriculture (CoA), Iroisemba have been granted scholarships for Masters Programme in prestigious Universities in Europe.
Sinheiba Ngambam, BSc Agriculture student who graduated in 2022 has been accepted for the Erasmus Mundus Program in Plant Breeding- "emPlant+" a two years Mater's degree of Excellence offered by a consortium of six leading European Universities, said a release.
He will be admitted in the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) for the first year and in University of Milan, Italy for the Second Year.
Another student, Niyanta Chettri from the same batch has also received the invitation to study in Poznan University of Life Sciences, Poland for the two years Master of Science course in Agronomy.
Chetan Iragar who completed MSc in Agricultural Economics has been awarded Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the two year GLOFOR MSc Program from the autumn semester of 2023.For the first semester, he will be studying at University of Copenhagen and the remaining semesters in the partner GLOFOR Institutions.
Currently, CAU, Imphal under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr Anupam Mishra and Director of Instruction Dr S Basanta Singh is implementing a World Bank Project (IDP-NAHEP) for academic excellence in Agriculture.
In the last three years, with Prof Indira Sarangthem as the Nodal officer of CoA, Iroisemba, many activities including a number of career and personality development workshops have been conducted in the College under the sponsorship of IDP-NAHEP.
It is worth noting that CAU, Imphal with the support of IDP-NAHEP had sent both Sinheiba and Niyanta Chettri for training at the International Rice Research Institution (IRRI), Philippines.
All the three students expressed their happiness and thanked Prof Indira Sarangthem and all the teachers who helped them achieve their pursuit for higher studies abroad.
