Awareness programme on 'CMHT & PMJAY' conducted

Imphal, March 27 2026:
An awareness programme aimed at accurately informing the public about the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) schemes was launched yesterday in Imphal West district.
The programme was organised by the District Implementation Unit, Imphal West District, in collaboration with the State Health Agency/State Nodal Cell.
The inaugural function, held at the relief camp set up in Tombisana High School, was graced by dignitaries, including M Rajkumar, Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West; Dr Dayabati, Chief Medical Officer, Imphal West Rinsophy Chamroy, IEC Manager, State Nodal Cell; Michael, IT Manager, SHA; and L Olympus, Programme Coordinator for PMJAY and CMHT, Imphal West.
Attendees also included many individuals residing in the relief camps at Tombisana High School, Khomdram Shelungba Upper Primary School, and THAU ground.
During the event, Rinsophy Chamroy provided detailed information regarding the CMHT and PMJAY schemes.
M Rajkumar emphasized that the programme is designed to educate people on the essential aspects of these health schemes that they must know.
The awareness campaign is specifically targeted at relief camps and will be conducted across various relief camps throughout the Imphal West district, he added.
While acknowledging that minor issues may arise between cardholders and the State Health Agency, the DC urged the public to file complaints when they encounter problems, assuring them that the agency is committed to making necessary improvements.
