Imphal, September 21 2025: An 8-day workshop cum production on "Thanglon" concluded today at the training hall of Mangan Thang-Ta Lup in Irom Meijrao, Imphal West district.

The workshop was organised by Mangan Thang-Ta Lup under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

The closing function was graced by dignitaries, including Laishram Lashamon Singh, secretary, Huyen Lanjang Thang-Ta Association; Thiyam Kora Singh, president, Thang-Ta & Cultural Association; Ningthoujam Ibohan Meitei, president, Meitei Inat Sindam Apunba (MISA); Nameirakpam Jibal Singh, instructor, Eastern Thang-Ta Organisation; and Khuraijam Nilakanta Khanganba, president, Nongchup Pana Huyen Langlon Singdam Sang.

Cultural programmes by students of different Huyen Langlon Thang-Ta associations were the main highlights of the event.

Moreover, All Manipur Waree Leeba Association & Research Centre organised the valedictory function of the 10-day workshop cum production on "Mahabharat Bhishma Parva" at Kongba Uchekon Chongabi on September 19.The function was graced by Th Bishworjit Singh, MLA, Thongju AC; K Sanathoiba Sharma, Padmashree; Budha Chingtha, Member, Board of Governors, EZCC Kolkata; and G Dharmadas Sharma, Joint Director, Department of Art & Culture as presidium members.

The function was marked by a special performance of "Waree Ahum Phambi" by renowned Waree Leeba artists Wayengbam Chinglen Singh, Senjam Nanaophulo and Soraisham Gunindro Singh.

Certificates were also distributed to the participants.
