North East NSS festival concludes, Pettigrew College emerges champion

Ukhrul, September 28 2025: The five-day event of the North East NSS festival - 2025, hosted by Pettigrew College, concluded today at the college auditorium in Meizailung, Ukhrul, with a grand valedictory ceremony.

In the much-anticipated competition events, Pettigrew College Ukhrul emerged as the overall champion of the North East NSS Festival 2025.And in the competition event, Pettigrew College Ukhrul was declared overall Champion of the North East NSS Festival 2025.The festival featured a wide range of competitions, including literary events such as extempore speech, quiz contests, and cultural programs.

A series of talk sessions on youth identity, biodiversity, entrepreneurship, and first-aid training were also held as part of the event, enriching participants with knowledge and skills.

Participants displayed immense talent, discipline, and enthusiasm, embodying the NSS spirit of unity and service.

The highlight of the festival included a traditional Fashion Show and Beauty Pageants, which captivated the audience.

The valedictory function was graced by D Carthigueane, Regional Director, NSS, Guwahati, who attended as the chief guest and distributed prizes to all winners and participants.

It may be noted that six contingents from Manipur, Nagaland, Assam and Meghalaya took part in the festival, which was held from September 24 to 28 in Ukhrul district.
