Kakching, August 21 2025: The deteriorating NH 137 (A) Mayai Lambi road stretch from Kakching Lamkhai to Waheng Leikai, sanctioned with Rs 100 crore by the Central Government, will be tendered within 15 days to expedite the long-pending construction work, informed Kakching AC MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar.

MLA Rameshwar made this announcement during an inspection of the road at Kakching Makha Lou, as part of his continuous road development initiatives using paver block technology.

He emphasized that despite the enforcement of the President's Rule in the State and governance by the Governor, numerous development projects are still being carried out.

He highlighted that projects such as Kakching Water Supply, Kakching to Tekcham via Irengband Road under PMGSY, and the Sora National Highway to Yaithibi Loukol road project will soon be initiated.

The MLA assured that he raised the issue with the Government to begin the construction at the earliest.

He further stated that pending development projects in the district would be soon executed with proper coordination among the concerned departments.

He also pledged to initiate new projects aimed at improving public welfare in the constituency.
