Locals stage protest against gun attack on Kakching hotel

Denouncing a gun attack at PS Hotel located at Kakching Lamkhai by unidentified miscreants yesterday, Kakching Lamkhai Welfare Board staged a sit-in protest at the locality today.
Notably, some unknown miscreants fired a round of bullet at the rice hotel around 7:30 pm yesterday.
Speaking in this connection, Pukhrambam Ongbi Puspolata alias Inao shared that they had neither received any demands for money nor had they been involved in any altercations.
"We are ordinary people operating a rice hotel to help with my husband's illness and run a household at the same time.
We have not harmed or caused offence to anybody so far", she informed.
Stating that the gun attack has caused them great distress and fear, she urged the culprits behind the unfortunate incident to issue a clarification and further refrain from repeating such acts in the future.
Shops at Kakching Lamkhai remained shut from morning till dusk today as a protest against the gun attack.
The protestors wielded many placards with messages such as "We condemn gun attack on rice hotel", "Clarify the motive behind the attack" and "Stop gun violence in densely populated areas" .
