RIMS observes Forensic Medicine Day

Imphal, May 12 2024: As observed across the country, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal celebrated the Forensic Medicine Day, 2024 at the Banting Hall of RIMS, Imphal today.

According to a release issued by RIMS, the function was graced by Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Imphal; Prof Brogen Singh Akoijam, Dean (Academic), RIMS, Imphal and Prof Th Meera Devi, SubDean (Academic), RIMS, Imphal among others.

As part of the observance, a debate competition was also conducted on the topic, "Medical Consumerism and Commercialization of Healthcare" with Dr Akoijam Ibohal and Dr Koijam Sashikumar Singh as the judges.

Moreover, RIMS, Imphal also organised a Swachhta Health Camp at Khangabok Relief Camp as a part of Swachhta Action Plan 2024-25 .

Doctors from different Departments of RIMS including Obstetrics & gynaecology, Paediatrics, Medicine and ENT provided free health examination/consultation to the displaced people staying in the relief camp.

Free medicines were also distributed to the patients during the health camp.
