Imphal, April 04 2025: The Manipuri Students Federation (MSF) conducted a "One Day Discourse on Educational Textbooks/Manuals) at the multipurpose hall of Imphal College today.

With Dr Naorem Sanatombana, Assistant Professor, Manipuri Department, Manipur University as the moderator, the discourse was attended by Ng Bhogendra Meitei, Director, Education (S); Khundrakpam Ashnikumar, Secretary, COHSEM; Akham Joykumar, Chairman, BOSEM; Aheibam Romen, Director, SCERT; Laishram Joy Khuman, president, All Manipur Recognised Private School Welfare Association; Ranjan Yengkokpam, president, Association of Manipur Teacher Education Institute (AMTEI); Dr RK Bijen Singh, Principal, Ibotombi Institute of Education, Canchipur and Hijam Roshan, president, MSF.

During today's discourse, the gathering passed various resolutions including formulation of syllabus/manuals suitable for Manipur society and their appropriate implementation in the school curriculum; drawing up of guidelines to address the heavy school bags which impact both the physical and mental wellbeing of students; implementation of the first and second resolution in CBSE schools in the State and ensuring that students have the option to learn in Manipuri medium upto Class V, preferably till Class VIII, in line with the NEP 2020 guidelines.
