Hindi Fortnight Celebration concludes

Imphal, September 30 2024: The Official Language Cell of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, successfully organised the closing ceremony of the Hindi Fortnight Celebration 2024 at Banting Hall, RIMS, Imphal.

The event was graced by Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal; Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital and Prof Akhilesh Kumar Shankhdhar, Head of the Hindi Department at Manipur University, Imphal among others, said a release issued by RIMS.

Speaking on the occasion.

Prof G Sunil Kumar Shanna emphasized the importance of Hindi, stating, "Hindi is our national language, and we must respect it.

It serves as a crucial mode of communication medium for connecting the diverse staff and students who come from various parts of the country" .

He also highlighted the significance of Hindi as a language of unity and culture.

Notably, the programme marked the culmination of a series of activities held during the fortnight including competitions aimed at promoting the use of Hindi across the institution.

Prizes and certificates were also distributed to the winners of various competitions held during the Hindi Fortnight.
