Expenditures to be scrutinised

Expenditure observers would inspect expenditure registers of all the candidates contesting in Outer Manipur PC on March 31, April 4 and April 8 at 11 am at Zilla Parishad Hall, Thoubal.
The candidates or their election agents should come to Zilla Parishad Hall, Thoubal and show their expenditure registers before the observers on the specified date and time.
Meanwhile, a meeting with two Central election expenditure observers for Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency was held today at Counting Hall, DC Office, Thoubal.
The meeting was presided by Haobam Rosita, DEO/DC, Thoubal.
The two Central observers are BK Singh (in-charge for Thoubal, Jiribam, Chandel, Ukhrul districts) and Vijay Kumar Kantheli (in-charge for Kangpokpi, Senapati, Tamenglong, Churachandpur districts) .
During the meeting, the two observers spoke on election expenditure and its monitoring and consequences of failure to comply with them.
They also explained the different roles of expenditure monitoring machineries including Expenditure Officer (EO), Assistant Expenditure Officer (AEO), Flying Squad and Static Surveillance Team (FS and SST), Video Surveillance Team (VST), Video Viewing Team (VVT), Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC), Accounting Team and Liquor Monitoring Team etc.
The two observers thanked all concerned engaged in election machinery and urged them for their concerted efforts for smooth conduct of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
The meeting was attended by SPs of Thoubal and Kakching, AEOs of Thoubal and hill districts, AROs of Thoubal and Kakching districts, Nodal officers of MCMC/MCC/EEM/Suvidha/c-VIGIL/DCC, team Leaders of Election Expenditure Monitoring Teams (MCMC/FST/VVT/VST/SST), bank managers and representatives of all banks located in Thoubal district.
