Demonstrators held placards with slogans such as "We Condemn Tronglaobi and Genmol incident", "Stop Killing Innocent Civilians", "We Want to Live in Peace", "Finish Border Fencing", and "Restore Free Movement on Highways" .
Speaking on the occasion, Shanti Devi said that the people of the State have been enduring hardship and distress since the outbreak of ethnic violence, which is now nearing three years.
She expressed concern that despite repeated incidents of violence and loss of lives, both the Government of India and the State Government have allegedly failed to take decisive action.
