BBBP mentorship connect launched in Churachandpur

Churachandpur, March 12 2026: The District Administration of Churachandpur has launched the BBBP Mentorship Connect, a dedicated online mentorship platform under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, at Churachandpur College (Autonomous) .

The launch was held as part of the International Women's Week celebrations being observed in the district from March 8 to 14 .

The programme was organised by the Women Empowerment Committee of the college in collaboration with the District Administration under the BBBP scheme.

The initiative was conceptualised under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar, and operationalised by Teresa Tangpua, Branch Officer of BBBP Office of the Deputy Commissioner.

Speaking at the launch event, the Deputy Commissioner said the platform is designed as a safe and empowering digital space to connect women leaders and professionals with students and young women seeking mentorship.

Mentors will provide career counselling, guidance and support for personal and professional development.

A key feature of the platform is the "Safe Channel," which enables girl students to confidentially report harassment, share grievances, and seek assistance.

The system ensures that concerns are securely received and addressed by the appropriate authorities.

The platform has been developed in collaboration with local IT start-up Buildn BIT Pvt Ltd, spearheaded by John Pautanlian Guite and his team, reflecting the district's commitment to fostering local innovation and technical support.

Women mentors from across the globe can register on the portal, enabling students in the district to gain exposure to diverse professional experiences and global perspectives.

The District Administration has invited educational institutions, women professionals, and students to actively participate in the initiative to further the vision of empowering girls and promoting gender equality.
