Continuing with the aim of helping locals in the remote areas of Manipur, IGAR (S) Maj Gen AK Chaudhury donated library cum computer centre and multipurpose community hall to the locals of N Mongjang and Chikim Veng village of Moreh, informed a release of PRO IGAR (S) issued today.
In his address, the IGAR (S) emphasised on the need of unity amongst the people of all religions and cultures so as to promote peace and harmony especially at the border town of Moreh and assured that Assam Rifles will always come forward to extend its full support and cooperation, conveyed the PRO's release.
The function was attended by various civil administration officials and all community leaders of Moreh.
Maj Gen Chaudhury was accompanied by Commander of 26 sector Assam Rifles Brig Balbir Singh, added the release.
