Imphal, June 19:
Students' Union of Ching-Tam High School, Yaingangpokpi has complained against the alleged failure of the State Govt to appoint teachers in place of the two arts teachers already transferred from the school.
In a statement, the student body informed that out of four arts teachers in the school, two of them have been transferred in accordance to the orders issued by the Additional Director and Director of Education in May and June respectively.
However, no teachers have been appointed or posted to fill up the vacant posts.
As a result, the present arrangement of taking classes for all the arts subjects of class VI to X by only two teachers including the headmaster is not adequate, the student body said, wondering how such arrangements could bring about quality education.
On the other hand, the student body went on to convey that there is no cashier and peon in the school and the only chowkider of the school has been retired in February this year.
As the teachers have to carry out the duties of these staff, the academic atmosphere have been affected serious.
In consideration of the difficulties being faced by the students, the State Government and its related authorities should take up necessary measures to appoint the required teachers and the staff within July 1.Otherwise, the student body may be constraint to launch various intense agitations, it warned.
