CM leads in condoling Sushma Swaraj

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has condoled the demise of former External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj.
Sushma Swaraj had a remarkable record of service and good works.
She became the youngest Cabinet Minister in Government of Haryana at the age of 25.She had a brilliant political career and was the first woman Member of Parliament to be honoured with the "Outstanding Parliamentarian Award" in 2004, read a message of N Biren.
The CM also said that Sushma Swaraj was a brilliant orator and a role model for women and was called India's "best loved politician" by the Wall Street Journal.
The former Union Minister is also the recipient of the prestigious "Grand Cross of Order of Civil Merit", which was conferred by the Spanish Government in recognition of India's support in evacuating its citizen from Nepal during the earthquake in 2015, added the CM.
Stating that Sushma Swaraj was a great leader whose contribution and generosity will always be remembered by the people of the country, N Biren further conveyed that he also shares the grief and pain of the bereaved family members.
Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker, Y Khemchand Singh also mourned the demise of Sushma Swaraj on August 6.Work Minister, Thongam Biswajit Singh too condoled the sudden demise of former External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj on August 6 .
A condolence message issued by Th Biswajit said that Sushma Swaraj was not just a leader of the party, but one of the brightest women the country has witnessed and contributed most in strengthening international relation with the country.
The Minister observed two minutes silence with the staff and officials of both RD&PR and Textile, Commerce and Industries in remembrance of the departed soul, it added.
Condoling the demise of senior BJP leader and former Union Minister, CAF and PD Minister Karam Shyam said that Sushma Swaraj was a remarkable woman leader.
The Minister then prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) cum president of BJP, Manipur Pradesh, K Bhabananda Singh too mourned the sudden demise of Sushma Swaraj.
Her death is a great loss to the Nation and party, the void created by her sudden demise will be very difficult to fill in many years to come, said the MP.
K Bhabananda also said that Sushma Swaraj was the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi, first woman spokesperson of BJP and first full time woman External Affairs Minister of India.
Vice president of the State BJP unit M Asnikumar has also deeply mourned the demise of Sushma Swaraj.
Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Manipur State Unit also condoled the demise of former External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj.
