Workshop, training programme conclude

The 15-day workshop on "Rites-de-passage of Sanamahism" organised by the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) in collaboration with Manipur University of Culture (MUC) concluded today at Lainingthou Sanamahi Sanglen, Haying Khongban Uphong Yumpham, Imphal.
The closing function was graced by Laishram Radhakanta, Registrar, MUC; LSTB vice president Vidyapati Senjam and member secretary M Shivadutta Luwang as presidium members.
As part of the event, Laishram Radhakanta released the "Sanamahi Laining-gi Thouramlon", a book published by LSTB and the "Meitei Thapalon 2026" calendar.
He also inaugurated the newly constructed Establishment Section of the LSTB.
Moreover, Rama Foundation has successfully conducted a three-day training programme on "Mushroom Cultivation Technology and Vermicompost" at the residence of Oinam David Meitei in Phougakchao Ikhai from November 16 to 18, 2025 .
On the final day, Soram Rajendra Kumar, Regional Achiever Awardee, delivered an in-depth session covering scientific methods of mushroom cultivation, techniques of disease management, identification of poisonous mushroom varieties, and preparation of value-added products such as mushroom pickles and dried mushrooms.
He also discussed various marketing avenues and the financial assistance available for small-scale cultivators.
Three KASAM Health Promoters namely Pebam Arun Kumar, Kh Loidang Devi, and Ashalata Loitongbam also conducted a health awareness session, providing valuable guidance on well-being and preventive healthcare.
