Imphal, March 08 2025: Mayengbam Chanu Reeta @ MC Reeta, president of Meitei Leimarol Sinai Sang has been conferred the the prestigious Karmayogi Award 2025 by Lions International District 322D during the inaugural session of "ICON", the 46th District Conference of District 322D, held at City Convention Centre.

According to a release issued by Lions Club of Imphal, the Karmayogi Award, consisting of a citation, shawl and cash incentive of Rs 51000 was presented to MC Reeta by the chief guest of the function, Raju V Manwani, Past International Director, Lions International.

Notably, MC Reeta was nominated for the award by Lions Club of Imphal.

At the event, Prof W Gopimohan, chairman of Karmayogi Award Committee said that Karmayogi Award was instituted by District Fund Foundation and is the highest honour which the District 322D bestows on a person who is an Indian citizen and not a member of Lions International and residing within the boundary of District 322D in recognition of his or her work for the welfare of the mankind.

The names for the award should be nominated by any Lions Club of District 322D, he added.

MC Reeta expressed gratitude to Lions International District 322D and Lions Club of Imphal for recognizing the works she has been doing for the community.
