Eye screening, diagnostic support camp held

The Intas Foundation Imphal organised a 1-Day Diagnostic Support Camp for hemophilia patients today at Apna Ghar, Keishamthong Irom Pukhri Mapal, Imphal West.
The camp aimed to provide essential health assessments to ensure timely monitoring and ongoing support for patients living with hemophilia.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Heisnam Deni Singh, H-PAP Counsellor, Intas Foundation.
As part of the camp activities, patients underwent Vitamin D and Complete Blood Count (CBC) tests both considered vital for guiding proper treatment and overall management of hemophilia.
One of the patient representatives highlighted the importance of organising such diagnostic camps regularly, stressing that annual health check-ups play a crucial role in maintaining better health and preventing complications.
The initiative underlined Intas Foundation's sustained commitment to enhancing the quality of life for hemophilia patients by providing timely interventions, essential tests, and supportive care within the community.
Moreover, Naharol Yaipha Thourang Club (NYTHC) in collaboration with Reva Eye Foundation organised a 1-Day Free Eye Check-up Camp at the club premises in Okram Chuthek, Imphal East today.
During the camp, a total of 53 people from the area underwent eye examinations for various eye-related problems.
Similarly, Shija Eye Care Foundation in collaboration with Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) and TG Higher Secondary School, organised a 1-day free eye screening camp at TG Higher Secondary School in Imphal yesterday.
A total of 210 students were screened during the camp.
Of these, 130 students were found with refractive errors, one student was counselled for squint surgery, and 12 students were referred to the base unit for further evaluation.
Students requiring spectacles or additional management were guided accordingly to ensure timely care.
