Vijaya Bank opens ultra small branch at Tera

Imphal, July 28 2012: An ultra small branch of Vijaya Bank was inaugurated today at Tera Keithel by Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai as Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion, AK Mirabai said that the habit of saving money in the bank can only be cultivated after knowing the benefits of maintaining an account in the bank and its vast usage.

In order to educate the people about the usage and benefits of saving money, awareness programmes should be organised at various places.

This would not only help in improving the financial position of individual account holders but also of the society.

Minister Mirabai also stressed on the need to open more bank branches in the state.

Manager of Vijaya Bank, Imphal Branch, PC Choudhury said that the bank is targeting to open its branches at various places of the state.

The bank will soon have a branch at Paona Keithel, he said, while assuring to widen the scope of banking services in the state.
