Imphal, October 25 2026: One person has been arrested for allegedly trying to attack Tourism Minister Khuraijam Loken at Wangoi, today.

The arrested individual has been identified as Longjam Achouba, a resident of Wangoi Longjam Leikai.

Reportedly, tensions erupted when the Minister was coming to Wangoi as a group of people tried to prevent him from entering the area by alleging that their MLA had failed to address the shortcomings at the Community Health Centre at Wangoi.

Loken is the MLA of Wangoi AC.

A person who accompanied the Minister lodged a complaint with Wangoi police station , alleging that some people tried to pelt stones at the Minister.

Based on the complaint, Achouba was arrested.
