Dental health camp marks 35th anniversary of IDA Manipur State Branch

The Indian Dental Association (IDA), Manipur State Branch commemorated its 35th anniversary by organising a significant Dental Health Camp at Khomdonbi High School in Kakching Khunou on Saturday.
The Dental Health Camp was conducted in association with Dental College, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal and Development Committee of Kakching Khunou with the aim to provide crucial dental services to the community while celebrating the longstanding commitment of IDA Manipur, said a release issued by IDA Manipur State Branch.
The camp offered a range of services to address dental health issues within the community, particularly in the relief camp setting.
As part of the camp, oral cancer screenings and free treatments were provided to 200 patients along with free medicines to ensure that essential dental care reached those in need.
Furthermore, recognizing the importance of preventive care, toothbrushes and toothpaste were distributed to children, encouraging good oral hygiene habits from an early age.
Dr Deepak Ningombam Singh, honorary secretary of IDA Manipur State Branch said, "This Dental Health Camp not only provided vital services to the community but also symbolized the dedication and commitment of IDA Manipur State Branch over the past 35 years".
"We are proud to have served the community for over three decades, and events like this highlight our on-going commitment to improving dental health across Manipur.
By providing essential services and education, we can empower individuals to prioritize their dental health and well-being", he added.
