Ukhrul, February 28 2025: Zaoranao Sinshim a women vendors association of Ava market, Ukhrul has urged the Tangkhul Leisak Long (TLL) to relocate the Wednesday market opened at Ava market area of Phungreitang to other locations of Ukhrul town.

According to a press statement issued by chairperson Soso Zimik of the women vendors association, the Association has earlier approached the TLL to shift the Wednesday market from the premises of Ava Market areas, which is a crowded area of the town endangering the roadside commuters.

Zaoranao Sindhim comprises 165 members doing daily business activities in the Ava Market complex have raised strong objections of opening Wednesday market in the congested area in front of Ava market to the TLL for redressal.

The Wednesday market conducted in front of the Ava Market has hindered the daily business activities carried inside the Ava market in many ways beside our services to the customers, stated Soso Zimik.

Despite our appeal to sort out the problems, nothing has been done to settle the issues till date.

And in this connection, the women vendors association, Ukhrul held an emergency meeting and unanimously resolved to take up appropriate steps in case the TLL Authority fails to respond positively to relocate the Wednesday market, stated Soso Zimik.
