MoS Defence assures efforts to restore normalcy

Minister of state for defence Sanjay Seth held an interactive session with members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and delegates from Seil on Thursday.
The delegation comprised Parishad's NEC members Rk Yaikhomba Singh and Dr Indira Aribam, state's joint secretaries Laishram Pinubala and Tompok, and karyakartas.
During the interaction, the delegates shared their experiences, concerns, and suggestions regarding the current situation in Manipur, highlighting the critical need for restoring peace, rebuilding inter-community trust, and enhancing youth engagement in the peace and development process, said a press release of ABVP, Manipur.
Sanjay Seth attentively listened to the perspectives put forward and commended ABVP's grassroots outreach and its efforts in mobilising youth for nation-building initiatives.
He assured the delegation of his full support towards efforts to restore normalcy and fostering harmony in the state, the release said.
Key issues addressed during the interaction included strategies for restoring peace and social stability in Manipur, encouraging youth participation in peacebuilding and nation-building, strengthening educational and developmental initiatives in the state, and reviving community engagement and trust-building efforts, according to ABVP, Manipur.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with all participants reaffirming their commitment to work collaboratively towards a peaceful and progressive Manipur.
ABVP reiterated its dedication to nation-building and to playing an active role in the restoration of normalcy in the state, it added.
