Imphal, August 17 2011:
Chief Medical officer (CMO), Senapati, Simpson Sareo has appealed to the Sadar hills District hood Demand Committee to lighten the blockade carried out on NHs to ambulance service for the welfare of the general people.
Speaking to Hueiyen Lanpao over the phone, he said that patients in Senapati District hospital who has to further undergo treatment in Imphal could not proceed to Imphal as they are being blocked on the way by blockade supporters.
Since there are no super specialists in Senapati District hospital patients have to be treated in Imphal.
As blockade is going on NH 39 ambulance carrying patients are being taken to Nagaland.
But now even that is also not possible because there are landslides on the way.
So SHDDC is sincerely appealed to let ambulance service pass NH 39 and proceed to Imphal on humanitarian ground.
