Imphal, December 30: The silver jubilee of the DM Dev Sarma Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya was celebrated today at Hotel Imphal under the aegis of Manipur Sanskrit Parishad.

The event was graced by L Jayantakumar, president of Manipur Sanskrit Parishad RK Jhaljit and noted poet Laishram Somorendro as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Jhaljit said that the Sanskrit Parishad shall soon produce a Sanskrit-Manipuri-English dictionary.

On the occasion of the silver jubilee celebration, a symposium on legendary poet Kalidas was also held.

During the symposium moderated by principal of DM Dev Sarma Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya L Narayan, G Tombi spoke on 'Life and Time of Kalidas', RK Jhaljit on 'Raghuvansa'.
