Imphal, July 22 2015 :
Even as the State Government is yet to take a final decision on when to open educational institutions in the valley area, the All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has decided to go ahead and start opening schools from tomorrow donning black badges.
Till late into the evening, there is no report of the Government holding any meeting to discuss the re-opening of educational institutions, but Education Minister M Okendro informed The Sangai Express that a final take may be taken once the mortal remains of Sapam Robinhood is claimed by the family members.
The State Government ordered the closure of all educational institutes on July 8 after Sapam Robinhood, a class XI student of Ananda Singh Memorial Academy was killed in police crackdown on a group of students who were out to demand the implementation of the Inner Line Permit System.

Speaking to The Sangai Express advisor of AMRPSWA, N Tomba said that the decision to re-open the school was taken in defiance of the Government's ploy to compromise with the academic pursuit of the young students.
Keeping the record straight, N Tomba said that it is not just a ritual to re-open schools and resume classes.
He explained that all the teachers and students have been asked to attend school tomorrow wearing black badges.
Moreover a two minute silence will be observed during the Assembly at all schools to pay respect to the departed soul of Robinhood.
Slogans will also be raised to demand the implementation of ILPS in the State as well as to award befitting punishment to the policemen who were involved in killing Robinhood, he added.
Asserting that the AMRPSWA has been taking part in the movement to demand the implementation of an Act to protect the indigenous people of the State, N Tomba added that it will continue to extend all possible co-operation to any movement in connection with this.
The decision of the Government to close down all educational institutions was unfortunate and unwarranted, he added.
All the private schools are free to choose their own decisions, said Tomba and added that the AMRPSWA will not penalise any school which decides to remain shut.
Tomba further said that the decision to re-open the schools was taken keeping in mind the future of the young students and added that the decision of the Government to close all educational institutions was against the interest of the students.
