Imphal, April 08 2018: For the first time in the history of the Manipur administration since it become a full fledged state in 1972 or perhaps since it became a part of the Indian Union, Manipur government under the initiative of Chief Minister N.Biren Singh openly interacted with top officers in the organised service of the state government.

The interaction programme which began from 11 am at City Convention Centre was attended by almost all cabinet Ministers and MLAs besides the bureaucrats of the state.

Calling upon all the bureaucrats to give suggestions, ideas and problem they face in rendering their services, Chief Minister N.Biren Singh said that the bureaucrats are no ordinary people .

"You are the persons who knows better than the normal people, you should contribute your ideas which you gathered from around the world and university to run the state in the best way", N.Biren Singh said.

While appreciating the bureaucrats of the state, Chief Minister said that it was the sincerity of all those in the government that the state can bring some changes in a very short period of one year.

"Now our government is entering 2 years and more suggestions , sincerity and ideas will make the dreamt of the government to make the state free from corruption a reality", Biren said.

On the issue of the "Go to Village" scheme , which was launched recently and which the government is planning to start implementing from July, Chief Minister N.Biren said that coordination of all officers of all department need to cooperate to make the government initiative to help the villagers survive in the best condition.

"Go to village" slogan is not only for villages in valley areas , Village means all villages of all districts in the state", The Chief Minister said.

He further added that all officers from the level of the DC should start working out to find out the reality of the problem of the villagers.

Assistance from all sort of government scheme will be provided to the needy.

"The schemes from the Social Welfare department, the schemes from the Water Resource department, Agriculture department etc.

will be utilized under the programme", Chief Minister said and added that such a measures and planning can only be possible with the coordination of all officers of all department with the district administration authority taking the matter seriously.

The Chief Minister also thank the Churachandpur district administration for completing women market shed in time and announced an award to the DC Churachandpur which will be handed over on Civil Service day.

The interaction programme become more meaningful when officers in charge of different government department including the law enforcing agency openly suggested and redressed their grievances in performing their duty.

To make some of the problem easier and more transparency , MSC Ranjan Yumnam suggested for making a mechanism for every person registering there Adhaar Card for one time for all benefit they were supposed to get from other department.

Ranjan was suggesting the idea as the people at present are compelled to register their Adhaar card to every department for getting benefit from eh government.

Police officers too expressed their problems being faced everyday in performing their duty due to lack of vehicles.

While the Taxation department , which is the main revenue collector of the state government said that till today the department does not have its own office.

"Five times our taxation office has been change since I join the office", Superintendent of the department said .

Lady police officers also presented their problem.
