Imphal, November 13 2023:
Considering the loss of lives and people displaced from their homes owing to the ethnic conflict that broke out on May 3 last, civil organisations continued to appeal to all concerned to forgo celebration of Ningol Chakkouba festival this year.
In separate releases, Manipur Ima and The Rising Sun Club, Thongju urged the people to skip celebration of Ningol Chakkouba this year in solidarity with families of those who lost their loved ones in the conflict.
