Candidates urge for NEET MDS exam centre in Imphal

Imphal, February 21 2025: Candidates preparing for the NEET MDS, 2025 examination submitted a memorandum to executive director of National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences appealing for enlistment of Imphal as one of the centres for the upcoming examination.

The representation signed by the candidates from Manipur informed that having passed the BDS course they need to appear in the NEET-MDS 2025 in order to pursue postgraduate courses.

However, non allotment of examination centre in the state is akin to discriminating students of Manipur which has three government medical colleges, two dental colleges and a private medical college.

Stating that most of the candidates belong to poor or economically weaker families with their socio-economic distress getting aggravated due to turmoil in the state since May 3, 2023, the representation maintained that they could barely bear the expenditures for appearing the said entrance test outside the state.

It reiterated the appeal for allocating at least one examination centre of NEET-MDS, 2025 in Imphal in public interest.
