'Barbarities' of ZUF crossed all human limits: NSCN (IM)

The NSCN (IM) Tuesday alleged that the emergence of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) is one of the "facades behind which unscru-pulous agencies" operating not only to down grade, disrupt the Naga peace process but to excite wrath which will subsequently involve serious human rights situation.
According to a statement from NSCN (IM) Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the Nagas are aware that "sponsored agencies" are active to disrupt the current peace process between the Naga people and Government of India.
MIP said both parties understand the futility of seeking military solution and added that this long- dragged conflict is nothing but aggression and resistance.
It said the aggrieved parties have done what they could do to zealously uphold the peace process and vested interest individuals and agencies have been actively promoting violence under variable covers to upset enduring settlement.
MIP said "barbarity" of ZUF and its allies have crossed all human limits while law enforcing agencies of the State have remained unperturbed and people- based organizations in this part of the region are now "voiceless" .
A woman named Makuchonglu (37), d/o Kanamsingpou Pamei of village Namkoulong was shot dead by branding as NSCN agent, it said.
Late Chunthuigai Kamei (31) who was then the general secretary of ZSUM was shot also dead on the charge of being an NSCN agent, MIP further claimed.
MIP also alleged that ZUF cadres "raped five teen students" of a school while the victims were on their way to home and informed that these victims were abducted by ZUF cadres who used the residence of the Grade IV employee of Khoupum Dam on October 5, 2012 for carrying out their "beastly action" .
One Shinthuingam of village Bamgaijang was shot dead on mere suspension of being an Indian Army agent on October 2, 2012, the outfit said while continuing that Bonreingam (28), s/o Guangkarei was attacked with grenade while he was tilling his field on June 11, 2012 for being "one of the so called IM.
"One Gideon s/o Ginthoungam Gonmei of Tousemjang village was shot in his leg for being informer of Indian army, NSCN-IM said, adding this incident took place on August 30, 2014 .
One Dimdonlong s/o Jeidikhonang of Lukhambi village was also shot on the charge of being an informer of Indian Army at Lubanglong Khunou on August 4 the same year, it claimed.
Besides, Pouchunlung (26), s/o James, village Ragailong, was shot in the leg for allegedly being an informer of Indian Army on September 12, 2014 and one Shasilu Gangmei of village Noney (Longmai) was shot dead at a village known as Tamlok on the same charge, the statement said.
It added that an excavator, a jeep and a bulldozer belonging to the ABCI were destroyed in November 2014 and one Ajon Gonmei, village Talsang, was abducted, confined in ZUF's lock up for a month and Rs 47 lakh was imposed on him for supporting so called IM.
Chamdimmei, the general secretary of the Khoupum Area village Authority Council was fined Rs 4 lakh for supporting NSCN, warning him of dire consequences should he continues to support the latter, the outfit said and further claimed that Kabibon of village Duithamjang had to pay Rs 3 lakh as fine for being with NSCN.
One Gaikhangthonliu was shot in her leg at village Siangai Namkao for allegedly being a supporter of so called IM, it added.
NSCN (IM) also accused ZUF members swooped down when a group of women belonging to village Khuirok were celebrating the golden jubilee of a women's society.
On January 28, 2015, Thirpu Aimol, a villager of Tuikhang was severely beaten and was hospitalized at Raj Poly Clinic and the victim's kidneys were impaired due to severe beating, NSCN (IM) claimed.
G Gaihungam (61) of village Marangching (Maikhom) was shot dead by ZUF and allegedly being an Indian Army agent.
MIP also questions the action of the administration and asked why people's organizations and church workers are so docile to these "highly criminal actions" .
