'Drainage system to be repaired'

Imphal, April 03 2017: Drainage system of RIMS and its adjoining areas will be repaired before the onset of monsoon season, stated Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar.

The Deputy Chief Minister accompanied by RIMS officials and local club members inspected in and around RIMS area.

The Deputy Chief Minister said, "From poor maintenance of drainage system to land encroachment, drains flowing through RIMS and nearby areas have been causing great difficulties for commuters while travelling to and fro the place.

In order to solve this issue, the drainage system will be repaired before the onset of monsoon season" .

He also assured to provide possible assistance to those families whose houses have been affected by the incessant rainfall.
