MLAs proceed to Delhi

A team of Ministers and MLAs have started heading to New Delhi to pressure the Central leaders to break the cycle of violence in Manipur and to keep the unity and integrity of the State intact.
Today, Keirao Constituency BJP MLA Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei and Wangoi Constituency NPP MLA Khuraijam Leikai left Imphal for New Delhi.
Some MLAs and Ministers of the ruling party including Health Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan and Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Thokchom Satyabrata Singh are also camping at New Delhi to meet Central leaders.
According to a report received by The Sangai Express, all the remaining Ministers and MLAs of the BJP and MLAs supporting the Government may proceed to New Delhi tomorrow other than Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
It may be mentioned that a meeting of the Legislature Party of BJP convened yesterday at CM's Secretariat resolved to seek appointment with the Prime Minister and other Central leaders before the adjournment of the monsoon session of the Parliament.
Meanwhile, a team of Congress MLAs who also went to New Delhi a couple of days ago to meet AICC leaders returned to Imphal today.
