Sangai Festival 2016 : 42,873 people show up on closing day

Imphal, November 30 2016: 42,873 people turned up on the last day of Sangai Festival 2016 .

As per the information received from the official, visitors started thronging in the venue from the morning itself and by evening, the venue was jam-packed.

The gate situated between the festival venue and BOAT where the cultural programme of the closing function was held had to be closed to avoid further crowding.

Area where the stalls were put up was also overcrowded.

According to report, 2, 37,538 people turned up for this year's Sangai Festival.
