Wins for KASC, KIYC, THAU and KCDO in MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20

KASC, KIYC, THAU and KCDO notched up victories in 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy 2023-24 on Thursday.
KASC outclassed NCA by 71 runs in their league encounter at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur, Thoubal.
Electing to bat, KASC posted a total of 148/9 with the help of Muhammad Ali Karim (46), Md Aqeel (38) and WM Rajak (25).In the process, four of KASC's fell prey to L Sadananda, two to Angom Robinhood Singh, and one each to Chourjeet Rk, Shinoj Khwairakpam and Thokchom Sushil Singh.
KASC then bowled well to end NCA's run chase in 14.2 overs for 77.Md Farijuddin and Qurshid Alam starred in KASC's lethal bowling display as the duo finished with 4 wickets each, while Md Anjum MM took one wicket.
For NCA, Angom Robinhood Singh (23), Moirangthem Karamachand Singh (15), Roshan Konthoujam (13) and Bobby Yumnam (12) were the batters who scored in double digits.
KIYC beat YPHUC by 7 runs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Asked to bat, KIYC were restricted to 112/6.Md Suhail led the innings with a knock of 44 and Mohammad Abdulla Khan contributed 20.In reply, YPHUC faltered as they could manage just 105 / 8 despite facing the complete 20 overs.
Sunny Singh Irom (44 not out) and Amrendra Prasad Gupta (21) were the only notable performers in their futile run chase.
Md Kaosar led the scalping for KIYC by claiming 4 wickets, while Thokchom Rajiv Meitei claimed 2 wickets and Ahanthem Mangesh chipped in with one in their triumph.
Earlier, Birbal Irom picked up 2 wickets as Kshetrimayum Rishi Singh, Irom Ishor and Gurumayum Prince Sharma bagged one each for the losing side.
At Lairenjam Public Ground, THAU claimed a 27-run win over SU.
THAU opted to bat but found the going tough as they could only muster 98/8 .
Barun Cricket (42 not out), Ahanthem Bikramjit (12) and Diamong (10) were the main contributors in the THAU innings.
For SU, Takhellambam Herojit Singh snapped 3 wickets, Pakpa Chungkham got 2 wickets, and Kennedy Singh Karam and Robin Irengbam took one each.
THAU produced a terrific bowling performance to defend their low total.
They dismissed SU in 17.5 overs for 71 .
Khumukcham Romesh Singh and Malesh Kumar Ngangbam played a pivotal role in THAU's win.
The two bowlers picked up 3 wickets apiece, Rajkumar Thapa took 2, and Khundrakpam Aden Singh chipped in with one.
Earlier, Takhellambam Herojit Singh bagged 3 wickets and Pakpa Chingkham got 2 wickets for SU.
KCDO, on the other hand, defeated SDC by 1 wicket at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
SDC batted first and scored 140/6 .
In reply, KCDO achieved the target in 19.5 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.
In their chase, Md Ajizur Rahman (28), Devendro (21), Bikram Phamdom (19), Hafiz Imran (16) and Md Umar Sheikh (10) were the main run-getters.
