Licypriya Kangujam invited to lecture at IIT Bombay

Environment and climate activist Licypriya Kangujam gave a lecture and interacted with top scientists, Professors, researchers and students at IIT Bombay, one of India's top premier institutes, said a statement.
Licypriya was invited by the IIT Bombay appreciating her works in the field of climate change and her contributions in the global climate movement to reduce the rise in the earth's temperature below 1.5 degree Celsius by 2030 .
In the lecture series, organised by IIT Bombay, Licypriya was amongst the speakers like ISRO Chairman S Somnath, Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani, former Army General Manoj Mukund, Nobel Laureate Leland Hartwell, DRDO former Chairperson G Satheesh Reddy, CERN Senior Research Scientist Prof Albert De Roeck, UK Space Research Agency Director Harshbir Sangha and others.
She interacted with students, research scholars, Professors, scientists for an hour.
Licypriya highlighted the challenges she faced as one of the youngest child climate activists globally.
She stated that the fight against global climate crisis should be based on science only.
Licypriya shouted the slogan "Meitei na Yaiphare" at the end of her lecture and urged people to pray for peace in Manipur.
