Leihao Devi Super Div League : UBSA share spoils with YDO, YPO thump SAO

United Brothers Sporting Association (UBSA), Mantak were held to a 1-1 draw by Youth Development Organisation (YDO), Sora while Youth Progressive Organisation (YPO), Sora thumped Sena Athletes' Organisation (SAO), Kakching in today's matches of the 17th Ksh Leihao Devi Memorial Super Division Football League Tournament at DSA Playground, Kakching.
A total of 8 teams from across Kakching district are participating in this league tournament which is currently underway under the aegis of District Sports Association, Kakching since October 8.UBSA, Mantak and YDO, Sora played out an evenly matched game and settled with same points at the end with one goal each from both sides in the first half.
UBSA's Victor Dangmei was first to open up when he beat past the custodian of YDO in the 26th minute while the equaliser came up ten minutes later when Ruhit of YDO latched on an inched perfect pass from a midfield inside the box and coolly placed into the net.
The second match saw, YPO scored one goal each on both halves to seal a 2-0 win over SAO.
Both teams start the game on a competitive note making a series of fine run and timely interceptions denying one another from making the difference.
YPO However broke the deadlock in the stoppage time of the first half when Premjit got on to a nice pass inside the rivals' box sent it into the net.
After the change of the ends, YPO's confidence grew gradually and it was in the 34th minute that Md Raja doubled the advantage against the lowly SAO who were held to a 2-2 draw by UBSA in the opening tie.
The latter part of the game saw, YPO sitting back with the 2-0 goal lead while the Kakching side were struggling hard to return into the game.
SAO's attacks proved too blunt for YPO's defence line and eventually the game ended 2-0 in the favour of the Sora side.
