JFI training centre opened

The inaugural launch function of JFI training centre by Manipur Judo Association (MJA) under the aegis of Judo Federation of India (JFI) and International Judo Federation will be held on May 21 at Khuman Stadium, Mayang Imphal.
The event will be graced by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, Dr Kh Ratankumar, Education Minister and Mukesh Kumar, Judo Federation of India president as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
A trial selection to pick players for the training centre will be organised on May 19 and 20 .
It has invited boys and girls between the age group of 14 and 15 to apply on or before May 17.The selected trainees will be given a monthly stipend of Rs 1000 each, conveyed a press release issued by the secretary of Manipur Judo Association (MJA), Imphal.
