Imphal, May 13 2016 :
Kangleipak Students Association (KSA) has
threatened to launch agitation against Education Department and
State Government if action is not taken against the persons involved
in dismantling of Phouden Upper Primary School at the earliest.
Speaking to reporters at their office, KSA general secretary
S Bidyananda questioned why the Government remains silent
although the only Government school of the area had been
demolished without giving any information to the Headmaster
and authority concerned on April 4 last.
It is unfortunate to abolish Government schools instead of
putting in efforts to make these institutes better, Bidyananda
said and added that such moves would only give hardships to
the students belonging to poor families.
On the other hand,
Bidyananda said that it is unfortunate for the Government to
decide recruitment of Primary, Upper Primary and Graduate
teachers on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates
in their Class X, XII and Graduation examinations.
KSA
would launch an intense agitation if the Government order for
recruitment of teachers issued on May 11 is not revoked.
