Ramengmawia to fight Vilasier in Men's Singles final in NE Tennis

Imphal, May 10 2013 : After defeating their respective opponents in the semi final matches played today, Ramengmawia of Mizoram and Vilasier Khate of Nagaland will fight in the final of Men's Singles at the 2nd North East Tennis Championships being held in Imphal.

In the first semi final match, Ramengmawia of Mizoram defeated T Brojen of Manipur 6-3, 6-4 and entered final.

Meanwhile, Vilasier Khate of Nagaland defeated Innocent Lal of Mizoram 6-4, 6-2 in the second semi final and entered the final.

In Men's Open Doubles, Lalrinawma and Ramengmawia of Mizoram defeated Brojen and Birchandra of Manipur 6-2, 6-4 in the first semi final and entered final.

In the second semi final match, Innocent Lal and Zathanglina of Mizoram defeated Vilasier Khate and Vikhozolie of Nagaland 6-3, 6-3 and entered final.

In 45 years above Doubles, Laxmibanta and Dr Matum of Manipur advaced into the next round after winning the first round today.

The pair defeated their Tomba and Ranjit of Manipur 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 .

In another match, Rajiv and Ranjit defeated Shamu and Kholeke 6-1, 6-1 and entered the second round.

Dr Sanjiv and Sarat of Manipur defeated Indra and Iboyaima of Manipur 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 and entered the second round.

In the quarter final round Y Ibotombi and Iboyaima of Manipur beat Dr Pritam and Kala of Manipur 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 in the first quarter final match and entered semis.

The second quarter final was won by SD Gupta and A Jain of Assam and entered semi finals.

The defeated Laxmibanta and Matum of Manipur 6-1, 6-1 .

In the third quarter final match, Th Tuleshwar and M Pradip of Manipur defeated S Rajiv and N Ranjit of Manipur 7-6, 6-3.In the first semi final match, H Iboyaima and Y Ibotombi defeated Tuleshwar and Pradeep 6-3, 6-4 and entered final.
