COTA denounces biasness

Council of Teachers' Association (COTA) has expressed its displeasure over the alleged bias attitude in releasing only funds and salary of teachers and non-teaching staffs under Additional Director Valley by the Education department.
In a statement, S Gunamani, Convenor Publicity of COTA, said that under Directorate of Education (S), there are two separate Additional Directors-Hills and Valley.
Funds and salary for employees and institutes amounting to Rs 55,81,12,000 under Additional Director of Hills had been released on 29th April 2013 while the Additional Director Valley has withheld the salary and funds for the teaching and non-teaching staffs posted in valley areas till today.
Such bias attitude of Education Department has created displeasure among the teachers and non-teaching staffs of Manipur, COTA said, while appealing to release the salary, funds for employees under Additional Directorate Valley as soon as possible.
