Brig SK Sharma Memorial Trophy concludes NFC beat DYC, emerge champions

The 3rd edition of Brig SK Sharma Memorial Trophy concluded today at Major General Binoy Poonen Playground, Phyapou village in Sadar Hills.
The closing ceremony of the weeklong tournament, organised by Phyapou Youth Organisation was graced by 59 Mountain Brigade Deputy Commander Col NS P Bisht, 59 Mountain Brigade OC Lt Col Reetesh and 25 AR Kangpokpi Post Commander Maj HN Singh as presidium members.
In the final match, Nteiramphung FC (NFC) beat Daily Youth Club (DYC) by a margin of 3 goals to one.

The match began with Daily Youth Club taking an early lead after Kulukho scored in the 3rd minute.
However NFC quickly bounced back after D Thaingam found the equaliser in the 7th minute.
NFC witnessed their second goal in the 23rd minute after H Kahumba found the target in the 23rd minute.
The first half ended NFC taking a 2-1 lead.
After the breather, D Rangkaba's strike in the 53rd minute helped NFC seal the match 3-1.Team champion Nteiramphung FC were awarded a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and a trophy while Daily Youth Club were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with a trophy.
Many other individual prizes were also awarded in the event.
