Road trip to Bangkok to be flagged off today

A road trip to Bangkok is set to be flagged off from Imphal tomorrow.
The trip is being organised by Adventures Overland, a tour operator based in Gurgaon.
Tushar Agarwal and Sanjay Madan, founders of the agency, in a press meet held today at Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, stated that a team of 20 participants from different parts of the country in five SUVs with one motorcycle is set to embark on the 2500 km long trip to Bangkok from Imphal.
Tour operator of the State, 9 Hills Consultancy and Seven Sisters Holiday are providing all forms of logistic support to the travellers for the trip within the State, Tushar added.
The trip will cross borders of India, Myanmar and Thailand.
The main objective of conducting and coordinating such road trip is to encourage cross-border tour for Indians and promote an opportunity for many people to expose themselves to culture and traditions of the neighbouring countries, said Sanjay Madan.
Moreover the participants will familiarize themselves with the traditions and customs of the North Eastern States during the trip, he added.
Mention may be made that Tushar Agarwal and Sanjay Madan founders of the agency, are Guinness World Record.
To their credit, they have also held various other records including the Limca Book of Records.
Meanwhile, business partner of 9 Hills Consultancy Arambam Angamba stated that they have plans to organize such trips on their own in the coming years.
