19th Senior National Sepak Takraw Championship

MANIPUR ONCE again showed its magic in the field of Sepak Takraw in the 19th Senior National Sepak Takraw Championship.
The chamnpionship concluded today here at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, Manipur men's and women's team dominated other participants by clinching champion in all events.
The championship which was kicked off on November 5 last was organised by All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association under the auspices of Sepak Takraw Federation of India (STFI).
.EDwijamani, Chairman, Manipur Pollution Control Board, M.Salim Baig, General Secretary, STFI and Shri Yoginder, Vice Chairman, STFI graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

In today's final match of men's regu event Manipur beat Delhi by set 2-0.The scores were 21-11 and 21-17 respectively.
Mizoram was in the third place.
Manipur beat Uttar Pradesh by 2-0 sets in today's final match of women's regu event.
The scores were 21-8, 21-4 .
Nagaland was in the third place.
In the first semi final match of double regu event, Manipur beat Nagaland by sets 2-0 and entered final.
The scores were 21-11, 21-12 .
The second semi final match was played between Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu lost the match to Uttar Pradesh by sets 2-0.The scores were 21-15, 21-16 .
In the final match Manipur beat Uttar Pradesh by sets 2-0 and won the winner's title.
The scores were 21-14, 21-13 .
Nagaland was in the third place by defeating its opponent Tamil Nadu by sets 2-0 in the match of third place.
The scores were 21-16, 21-12 .
The first semi final match of women's double regu event was played between Manipur and Nagaland.
Manipur beat Nagaland by sets 2-0 and entered final.
The scores were 21-16, 21-14 .
Assam and Delhi fought for the final in the second semi final of women's regu event.
Assam entered final after defeating Delhi by sets 2-0.The scores were 21-9, 21-18 .
In the final match, Manipur beat Assam by sets 2-0 and won the winner's title.
The scores were 21-16, 21-15 .
Nagaland was in the third place after defeating its opponent Delhi 2-0 in the match of third place.
The scores were 21-17, 21-16 .
It may be reminded that Manipur's men and women teams had clinched winner's title in all the event of the championship.
Manipur's H.Kirankumar and M.Aruna were hon-oured with the title of best male and female player.
