Two ministers inspects Spti infrastructures

WITH THE objective of bringing balance development in both valley and hill as assure by the secular progressive front (SPF) government, two ministers, works minister K Ranjit and education minister L Jayentakumar has inspected various development works like improvement work roads and bridges and school infrastructures in Senapati district.
During ministers' two-day tour to the district which commenced from November 7, two MLAs from Senapati districts, K Raina and M Thohrii and officials of the concern department like the PWD and education department also accompanied.
On the first day of the tour, on November 7, the ministerial team inspected the improvement works taken up along the stretch of the NH-39 .
While inspecting the working of the road, works minister K Ranjit asked the concern officials, contractors and labours to inform him when any disturbances and difficulties come up while working on time.
He also sought the co-operation of the people residing on the sides of the highways in completing the improvement works by the targeted time which is on December next.
During the tour education minister, L Jayentakumar also inspected T Khuleen High School, a government aided school and held discussion with the head master and school authorities on the shortest in the school.
The minister assured them that he will look into the matter which can do from the government side for the school.
During interaction with, authority of the said school said that around 500 students including some coming from villages in Ukhrul district are studying.
It has only four government approved teachers while remaining teachers are appointed by the school authorities.
The school is facing of science and mathematic teachers said the authority.
In the school having class upto Standard-X, there was not a single science teacher and only one teacher is educating mathematics, they said.
The two ministers also inspected condition of the Shong Shong Government Aided Junior School located at Shong Shong village, Moa.
The school head master and school authorities received the ministers on their visit in the school with a warm welcome.
They also thanked the minister for their rare visit.
The education minister assured of providing assistance for improving the condition of the school while works minister promised that improvement works of the stretch of the approach road from the NH-39 to the Namjared Residential High School will be taken up soon.
The two ministers also attended a valedictory function organized at the Namjared High School.
On the second day of the tour on November 8, the two ministers also inspected the stretch of the road from Mao Potato Farm to Jhuko valley which the state government is planning to improve.
Further they also inspected the progress of the improvement works taken up along the stretch of the roads from NH-39 to Pudunamei, Chowainamei via Makhan village.
Education minister also inspected condition of the Mao Maram High School.
The villagers also presented gifts to the ministers and also submitted a memorandum to the visiting ministers' requesting them to look into the problems and grievances facing by them from the government side.
Speaking at a reception function, works minister Ranjit said that the black topping of the some of the portion of the road currently undergoing improvement works will be taken up taken within this year and the remaining parts will be done in the next year.
He also assured of making retaining walls on the roadside not to affect the houses nearby the road.
If happened to affect in the process of road broadening adequate compensation will be paid, he assured.
Education minister also promised for taking up all works for the improvement of the school after call up reports from the concern ZEO.
