AR organises friendly volleyball match

Imphal, July 31 2017:
Under the aegis of 10 Sector Assam Rifles, 31 AR organised a friendly volleyball match during the Indo-MyanmarPost Level Meeting, said a press release ofPRO IGAR (S) .
The first match was played between the teams of the two Nations today at Nampisha village bordering India and Myanmar.
A warm welcome was extended by villagers of Nampisha to the neighboring Nation's team which took part in the first friendly match.
Before the match, a welcome speech was delivered by the Headman of Nampisha village.
The match was witnessed by villagers of Nampisha Khanpat Khullen, Ningchou, and other bordering villages.
The spectators included children, ladies and elderly people.
The initiative taken by Col Ajay Kumar, Commandant 31 Assam Rifle and his team under the supervision of Sector commander was highly applauded.
Prizes were later distributed to both the teams, added the release.
