State Jr Boy's and Women's Polo : Tentha Polo Club to meet Nagamapal Youth Polo Club for junior boy's title

Tentha Polo Club-A will lock horns with Nagamapal Youth Polo Club at 1 pm on January 6, 2019, in the final of the 2nd State Junior Boy's Polo Tournament (U-16) being organised by All Manipur Polo Association since December 28 at Mapal Kangjeibung.
The final line up of the 14th State Women's Polo Tournament also completed today with Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club-A and K&MM Riding School securing the final berths beating their respective rivals in the semi-final clashes.
Junior boy's semi-finals
Tentha Polo Club-A (TPC) outlasted K&MM Riding School-A by 5-4 margin the tensely contested first semi-final match of the junior boy's competition which began at 1 pm today while Nagamapal Youth Polo Club notched up a 5-1 win over X Polo Club in the second semi-final match staged latter.
Th Bishorjit of TPC-A and S Manikanta of K&MM Riding School scored one goal each in the first chukker of this competitive match.
But TPC-A had managed to add two goal through P Bikash and S Naoba in the second chukker and led the game 3-1 at the break.
S Naoba extended the lead to 4-1 in the third chukker before P Bikash got his second in the last chukker.
Priyo of K&MM Riding School however fought back bravely chipping in three goals alone in the last chukker however his efforts fell short to draw level and find the lead.
Eventually, TPC-A wrapped up the game 5-4 and sealed the final berth.
The second semi-final match saw Th Nongpoknganba and Ronaldo put Nagamapal Youth Polo Club ahead with a 2-0 lead but Erom Rahul of X Polo Club pulled back a goal in the second chukker to make it 2-1 .
Th Manisana scored one goal in the third chukker for the winning side while Ronaldo and Santosh chipped in one goal each in the last chukker and completed the 5-1 rout of X Polo Club.
Women's semi-final
The second semi-final match of the women's competition witnessed Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club-A cruise to a huge 6-2 win against Thoubal District Polo Club-A, to set up final clash with K&MM Riding School at 2 pm on January 6 .
Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club-A (TYPC-A) started the game on a bright note with O Victoria scoring twice to make it 2-0 in the first chukker.
Kh Habe added two more goals in the while O Victoria managed another goal and sent TYPC-A 5-0 past the Thoubal side.
Kh Habe struck the last goal of TYPC-A in the third chukker.
Asem Romabati and L Thadoi scored one goal each for Thoubal District Polo Club-A in the 3rd and the 4th chukker respectively.
