After four days of stupendous success in the 53rd National School Games archery and hockey competitions at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, the host State had to content with silver and bronze medals on the penultimate day today.
In semi final matches of the hockey competition for girls under-14 category, Manipur suffered 6-1 defeat to Haryana with the boys going down 2-3 to Delhi.
While Haryana face UP, who won 3-0 against Maharashtra in the girls' final Delhi will play Chandigarh for the boys' crown.
Chandigarh routed Haryana in the other last four match.
State archers, who had pocketed 30 gold medals till yesterday, managed to add two silver and four bronze medals only today compared to Assam and Maharashtra bagging three gold medals each, two each by Punjab and Rajasthan,
and one by Orissa.
