Completing the dream of former President of India Dr Abdul Kalam to the children of a school in Churachandpur district of Manipur, Governor Dr SS Sidhu has today inaugurated a computer centre and science laboratory at Bunglon High School in Churachandpur district, thus rolling into motion, computer revolution in the southern hills of Manipur, reports NNN.
The computer centre and the laboratory were gifted to the school by the former president of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam when he made a stopover in the school campus way back in 2006.

In a colourful function attended by various villages' leaders of the area, the Governor has assured to pursue the concerned authority in providing health centre to the surrounding area, which is needed urgently.
Dr Sidhu also donated a power generator to the school for use in the computer centre.
Cultural dances of Kom, Gangte, Thadou and Meitei have been presented by student of BHS to welcome the Governor in the area.
The Governor was said to be much impressed by the performance of young school children presenting 'stick dance', the dance composition of the school children.
Sidhu had spent around one hour with the school children and the people of the area, hearing their woes.
One may reckon here that, the people of the area had to travel round about 15 kms for visiting the nearest health centre.
The BHS school headmaster Gin Gangte has also highlighted to the Governor the plight of the people of the area, which comprises more than 40 villages, while saying that the visit was 'historic' for the area.
Gin Gangte , the school headmaster said today that the visit was a landmark in the history of Manipur as it become one and the only school in Manipur to be visited by both the heads of the Country and the state.
He was also elated by the visit of a dignitary in the person of Dr Sidhu, whose administrative ability is acclaimed across the seven seas.
Soizalal Thangjom, a retired ZEO who was excited at the visit says that, "It is a good sign that the road being opened by the former president of India has been closed by the state Governor".
.KThangjom, a social worker of the area said that, "The Governor has at the same time become the integrating force between the hill and the valley as he was received by both the hill and valley people of the area in unison today".
.NNilamani Singh, an employee in the Governor secretariat, who accompanied the Governor to Bunglon said the function was impressive and lively as the traditions of the people was showcased to the delight of the Governor and his team.
